Throughout a pupil’s journey, we provide a broad, ambitious curriculum that balances academic challenge with personal development and a signature playfulness. The Spark of Discovery (Reception – Year 2)
In our Lower School classrooms, pupils are guided by a sense of wonder and a focus on kindness. Children enter a world designed for exploration, where academic development and learning skills are woven into a joyful childhood experience.
During these first three years, we prioritise learning habits – thinking, linking, questioning and resilience – as pupils develop strong foundations for their future development across the curriculum. By protecting the joy of these early years, we ignite the intellectual curiosity that serves as the basis for all future success.
Expanding Horizons (Years 3 and 4)
As children transition into lower prep years, their breadth of experiences is designed to spark lifelong passions. This is a pivotal time where they move to a focus on applying skills, one example being, from ‘learning to read’, to ‘reading to learn’, they dive deeper into a curriculum that is designed to stretch all learners and to challenge their thinking. We encourage students to make meaningful connections between the classroom and the wider world, fostering the inner strength and adaptability needed to navigate new academic horizons. It is a stage defined by growing social awareness and the excitement of discovering who they are as learners and friends.
Leading the Way (Years 5 and 6)
In the final stretch of the journey through our school, our oldest pupils embody our culture of joyful excellence. Years 5 and 6 are about the refinement of self-knowledge, as children are encouraged to take ownership of their learning and express their unique perspectives. As school leaders and role models, they tackle prefect responsibilities and competitive endeavours with a sense of purpose and character. By the end of Year 6, your child will leave us not just with outstanding academic outcomes, but as a self-assured, compassionate individual equipped with the intellectual curiosity to flourish.
