Co-Curricular Life at Thomas’s Fulham
Through our co-curricular provision, pupils enjoy a breadth of experience from their earliest days with us. This approach nurtures the whole child, enriches school life, and enables pupils to develop a love of learning alongside lifelong passions. Our broader curriculum supports each child’s academic development and facilitates our culture of joyful excellence.
From Reception onwards, co-curricular subjects are taught by specialist teachers in Art, Computing, Dance, Drama, Music, Outdoor Education, PE and Games. Whether in the art rooms, the dance and drama studios, the computing lab, or at Walton Firs, our outdoor education site, our pupils are consistently challenged. These aspects are real strengths of our provision; Music is further enriched through one-to-one lessons, ensembles and choirs, while Sport thrives through regular fixtures, tournaments and events.
We believe that great learning stems from engagement, curiosity and challenge. Underpinning this is a commitment to the human element of education – championing kindness, community and the pure joy of childhood. This ensures that every pupil feels a sense of belonging while they explore their potential.
Further enrichment takes the form of local and residential trips. Year 4 travels to the Isle of Wight, while Years 5 and 6 spend a week during the Lent Term at Thomas’s Daheim, our outdoor ski centre, in Austria. A wide-ranging extra-activities programme from Year 1, alongside visiting speakers and workshops, further ensures that learning at Thomas’s Fulham remains vibrant and life-enhancing.
Clubs Programme
We offer a wide range of extra-curricular activities. Many run after school as well as before school and at lunchtime. Designed to broaden our pupils’ horizons, these creative, physical and reflective experiences help them to discover new passions, stretch their potential, and thrive beyond the classroom.
Currently the programme includes, for example, Chess, Lego, Touch typing, Calm Club and a whole host of activities which enhance our sport, music, drama, dance and art provision.
